This style of very low upright, known as a mini or drop-action piano, was most popular from the 40's to the early 70's, and while the volume is limited by such short strings, they can work well in a small room or office where they take up much less visual space than a standard upright. The mahogany case is in very nice condition and the tone is quite mellow.
